Glastonbury festival has announced that tickets for the 2023 event will go on sale in November.

The much-loved festival returned in June this year with the likes of Billie Eilish, Sir Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar among the A-list line-up, after being scrapped for two years amid the COVID pandemic.

The event is going ahead in the summer of 2023 and organiser Michael Eavis has said there are already headliners lined up.

But with competition likely to be as fierce as ever, how do you get tickets?

Registration

Traditionally, tickets first become available in October but it will be November this year.

Glastonbury said on its website that "as part of our ongoing efforts against ticket touting, anyone who would like to attend the festival will need to have registered in advance of the ticket sale".

Registration - which doesn't guarantee a ticket - can be completed on the website at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.

It will close at 5pm on Monday, 31 October but people are advised to register at least a week before that in case their photo needs to be re-submitted.

Children aged 12 and under don't have to register and don't need tickets.

Tickets on sale in November

Tickets will be exclusively sold at glastonbury.seetickets.com.

Tickets plus coach travel are on sale at 6pm on 3 November and general admission tickets go up for grabs at 9am on 6 November.

A £50 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket plus coach travel) is payable when booking.

The balance is payable in the first week of April next year.
