Girls’ Generation to make full-group comeback with new album after 5 years
Top K-pop girl band Girls' Generation are making a comeback to mark the 15th anniversary of their debut in August, their agency SM Entertainment said on Tuesday (17 May).
The band, who debuted in August 2007 with the single “Into the New World”, will mark their return with a full eight-member lineup and release a new album – their first in five years since the “Holiday Night” album in 2017.
They also plan to appear in various TV shows and reality programmes to commemorate the release of their new album.
Known for their hits such as “Gee”, “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)”, and “Lion Heart", Girls’ Generation are one of K-pop’s biggest names with a huge global following. The band have not been active after Sooyoung, Seohyun and Tiffany left in 2017.
