Girls' Lena Dunham working on a new fashionable comedy TV series, we cannot wait

Lena Dunham captured our imaginations with her hit series Girls and now she looks set to do it again with a brand new fashion-based comedy.

The 26-year-old actress, writer and director has reportedly teamed up with Girls' executive producer Jenni Konner, this time to write a pilot show based around one personal shopper's tale at the iconic New York department store Bergdorf Goodman.

Betty Halbreich is credited with launching the luxury personal shopping service in 1976 - and still works there now, aged 85.

All Dressed Up and Everywhere To Go is based on Betty's soon-to-be-released memoirs, which include dressing the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Meryl Streep.

She's said to have been key to creating the overall look of Sex And The City and is known in inner circles for her honesty and wit.

The new TV show is said to delve into Betty's life working with a whole host of A-listers, as well as reveal details of her work consulting on movies and TV shows.

American TV network HBO are believed to have bought the rights to the book and secured Lena Dunham's involvement on the project.

Lena Dunham has shot to super-stardom with the critically-acclaimed series Girls, with writer Dawn Porter recently heralding the show as "the most honest portrayal of women I have ever seen on TV."

The show is based on four very different girls and their experiences of life and love in New York City, yet in a more realistic portrayal than the likes of SATC.

The show has been critically-acclaimed too, with creator Lena picking up two Golden Globes for Best Comedy Series and Best Television Actress In A Comedy at the recent ceremony.
