Ex-Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Giovanni Pernice has spoken out on social media as the anticipation for Strictly's new season builds up. He's currently showcasing his moves on Italy's version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle, alongside Bianca Guaccero. Ballando con le Stelle is an Italian dance competition where professional dancers are paired with a celebrity in a bid to impress judges and win the show - an incredibly similar format to Strictly which Giovanni waved goodbye to just months ago.

In a video which he posted today, he chats about their recent routine. Giovanni wrote: "This is us talking about the judges... what they can expect from us and what Bianca feels about it. Very excited and will take everything on board to make the next dance better."

Giovanni departed Strictly after his 2023 celebrity partner Amanda Abbington voiced her grievances regarding Giovanni and a BBC probe into his behaviour during the show began.

This year new details emerged about alleged "abusive behaviour" behind-the-scenes that led Amanda to exit the show after initially citing "personal reasons." She also lodged a complaint against the BBC programme, accusing Giovanni of "abusive behaviour". Giovanni has denied the allegations.

"As you know, I have always rejected any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour," he said. "The latest accusations are simply false."

Meanwhile, a source told The Sun on Sunday: "Whatever the outcome of the inquiry, Amanda has no regrets. She knows what went on in that rehearsal room. And she knows it was unacceptable. Amanda has given the BBC all the information she can to help them with the investigation.

"Amanda was greatly reassured during her first interview when she was told by the BBC investigators that her account was fully believed - and now it is down to the corporation to release their findings. Her biggest concern, from day one, has been to ensure that others don't have to go through the same traumatic experience that she has."

It was expected that an outcome would have been reached ahead of the 2024 series, but this wasn't the case. The latest season of Strictly Come Dancing started over the weekend, and the live shows will take place this weekend, with a host of celebs hitting the dance floor.

Speaking to Amol Rajan on BBC Radio 4's Today show, Tim said: "Many things in life would be useful, but we have to do the process," reports the Mirror.
