Giorgio Armani will now be offering a made-to-order service whereby customers will have the opportunity to have pieces crafted specifically to their personal tastes.

The brand hopes to create unique designs for women that they will then be able to have in their wardrobes forever. It is an extension of the label's made-to-order service which previously existed for men's tailoring.

The service – which is available now – will allow customers to choose from a number of pieces, which they will then be able to personalise to their tastes, choosing from a large selection of linings, piping and buttons to make their piece unique.

The daytime edit available to personalise includes six jacket designs – double-breasted or single-breasted with one, two or four buttons, and peak lapels, shawl lapels or Mandarin collars — three pairs of trousers, two skirts, three shirts, one top, a basic coat and an enveloping duster. The evening edit features two tuxedo jackets – one with peak lapels and one with shawl lapels – paired with featherlight shirts and two styles of trousers or a skirt, as well as a tuxedo dress with satin lapels and cuffs.

"From Giorgio Armani’s simple, effective ideas about design from the early 1980s a new way of interpreting the female silhouette and wardrobe was born, through the creation of clothes that adapted to the needs of women, and instilled self-confidence as well as a sense of freedom and naturalness," the brand said in a press release about the project. "The result is a dialogue between Giorgio Armani and women, unique and different for every single one, from which perfect, lasting, personal pieces are created."

The women’s made-to-order service is available now at the Giorgio Armani boutiques in Milan, Rome, London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Armani / Ginza Tower , Hong Kong Chater House, and Shanghai Plaza 66. To find out more information or to book an appointment, head this way.
