If there was ever a year when extra-strong gin was a good way to go, it’s 2020.

Anno Gin has created the world’s strongest gin. Anno Extreme 95 Gin has an alcohol by volume of 95%, which, considering most gin is around 41%, that's a hell of a lot of booze for your buck!

The company that makes the gin, which is flavoured with fennel, coriander, nutmeg and liquorice, describes it by saying, “Developed by scientists with a taste for adventure and pushing the limits of possibility, Anno Extreme 95 Gin was produced with one goal in mind – to create ‘the spirit of alchemy’.

“A gin that packs more punch and flavour, drop for drop, than any other spirit in the world. We use an extended distillation with a mix of steeped and vapour infused botanicals to extract huge flavour, packed into a 20cl bottle.”

So yeah, the bottle is only 20cl. Compared to regular gin bottles, which are 70cl, you don’t get as much, but we think that’s probably not such a bad idea, right?

Another way Anno Gin is making sure you don’t accidentally over-do it is by the fact they’ve put a huge warning label on the gin, so you don’t free-pour it like no one’s business; thinking it’s just regular gin. Anno recommends adding just 5ml to your drink, as opposed to 25ml, which is a single measure. The gin even comes with a tiny measuring beaker, so you don’t over-pour. Smart.

A 20cl bottle of Anno Extreme 95 Gin will set you back £30, and you can buy it from the website now.
