Gigi Hadid's dad mistakenly makes fans think she's given birth in Instagram post
Gigi Hadid's dad appeared to announce the birth of Gigi and Zayn's baby in a now-deleted Instagram post, before taking to the comments to clarify that the baby hasn't been born. Oops.
Mohamed Hadid posted a photo of a handwritten poem to his "grandchild" titled "Grandpa's heart", which fans unsurprisingly took as a hint that the baby has arrived.
However, he went on to clarify that the baby hasn't been born in the comments, before deleting his post altogether.
Gigi and Zayn's baby is thought to be due in September, after the couple announced the pregnancy back in May, so fans are expecting a birth announcement any day now
Mohamed's poem read:
"Hello little grandchild, it's me, my heart as happy as can be. I wish for you the sun and moon. I wish for you a happy time. Know that Grandpa's always near, I'll do anything, anything for you my dear. When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I know, my heart would always belong to you."
Mohamed signed off the poem with his name and captioned the post, "In the name of God the merciful I want to say l love you and so proud of you. @gigihadid."
Unsurprisingly, fans automatically jumped to the conclusion that Mohamed's poem meant Gigi had given birth. However, he clarified that she hasn't in the comments, before deleting the post altogether.
One fan wrote, "Did Gigi give birth to her baby, please can anyone answer," with Mohamed replying, "no not yet".
This isn't the first time a member of the Hadid family has got fans thinking Gigi and Zayn's baby has arrived. Just yesterday, Bella Hadid shared a picture of her and sister Gigi cradling their 'bumps', adding the caption:
"June 11, 2020 … two buns in the oven except mine is from my burger and gigi’s is from @zayn. I love you both so freaking much -can’tstopcrying."

Fans automatically jumped in, thinking that the second part of Bella's caption was a hint that the Zigi baby has been born.
Stop teasing us like this, guys!
