Gigi Hadid shares cute photos of daughter Khai at the beach
Gigi Hadid shared a glimpse into her happy life with daughter Khai Hadid Malik. The supermodel posted an Instagram carousel today featuring snaps from a beach getaway she took with her two-year-old.
In the first photo, Hadid is seen kneeling next to a sand design she made for her baby girl; it reads, "Mama ❤️ Khai." Hadid wears a hot pink triangle bikini by Sommer Swim, shell necklace, and board shorts in a pink, purple, blue, and green flower design.
In the second photo, Hadid is seen carrying her daughter on her shoulders while walking along the beach. And in the third, the two are seen playing on the shore. A peek of Khai's pink-and-purple outfit—perfectly matching her mom's—is seen.
"Celebrated the new year w a lil r&r 🐚," Hadid captioned the post, not disclosing the tropical location.
Hadid split from longtime boyfriend Zayn Malik, Khai's father, in October 2021, about a year after their child was born. Since then, she has shared images from her and her little girl's life together — never, however, revealing Khai's face on social media.
The model previously spoke about coping with the anxieties of motherhood to Harper's BAZAAR. "During my pregnancy, I had one journal that I called my good journal and one journal that I called my bad journal," she explained.
"They weren't that literal, but one was more for the memories, for Khai. Maybe one day I'll give her the bad journal just to be real about it. She also said that Khai, then 10 months old, enjoyed being out in nature while on the Hadid family farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
"She loves the birds, the animals," the model continued. And, when asked if Khai will one day follow in her mother's equestrian footsteps, Hadid answered, "Yes. She will one day definitely be on a horse."
