In news that will excite fashion-forward brides everywhere, haute couture designer Giambattista Valli is stepping into bridal for the first time.

Known for his trademark tulle and dreamlike, frothy, feminine gowns – which are loved by A-listers on the red carpet – a bridal collection seems like a natural progression for his brand, which began in couture and now also has a ready-to-wear arm.

Valli has created a 17-piece capsule collection of wedding gowns. And, although the designer has certainly tapped into his signature romantic aesthetic, there are also pieces in the collection for the more laidback bride, including a mini dress and a trouser suit.

Elsewhere in the collection, you will find voluminous off-the-shoulder gowns with embellished detail, puffy sleeves, layers of tulle and plenty of lace. The capsule will also feature accessories including shoes and bags, all of which are sure to inject some serious glamour into any wedding-day look.

The 'Love Collection', as Valli has aptly named it, will be created on a made-to-order basis and will be presented to clients and friends of the house through exclusive trunks shows and at a selection of luxury retailers around the world.

Valli is the latest catwalk designer to step into the world of weddings as more and more brides venture away from the traditional for their big days. He follows the likes of London Fashion Week designers Christopher Kane, 16Arlington and Molly Goddard, who have all launched their first bridal collections this past year.

Giambattista Valli's 'Love Collection' bridal capsule will launch on 9 September 2021. Find out more about it here.
