Lockdowns (one, two and three) have meant that washing our hair fell from the top of our priority list. There was something gloriously liberating about tying it up in a top knot and knowing that a bit of camera angling (and plenty of dry shampoo) could forgive all sins during our Zoom calls.

However, now that normal life is beginning to resume, we want to look and feel our best again. That starts with getting back to styling our hair more regularly.

Luckily, our favourite hair tool purveyors, GHD, are currently having a site-wide sale to celebrate their 20th birthday. That means everything from hairdryers to straighteners is currently discounted online for a limited time:

But there's one tool we want to get our hands on even more than the rest: the GHD Glide. This clever hot brush was designed to be used on second-day hair to smooth and tame. It allows you to style hair in-between washes in a way that you couldn’t before. The ceramic technology heats the brush uniformly to 185°, which, GHD say, is the perfect styling temperature: hot enough to be efficacious, yet not so high it'll damage hair. In short, with one stroke hair is more manageable and sleek.

Plus, there’s a mixture of short and longer bristles, which help to detangle, shape and style. The smaller, heated bristles are coated in ceramic so that they won’t snag, making it much easier and faster to style in the mornings.

The only problem is that, last year, the GHD Glide sold out globally in a mere two weeks, and since then has been rather difficult to get hold of.

Now, not only has the sought-after product returned to the digital shelves of GHD's online store but you can also nab £20 off as part of their site-wide birthday sale.

And if you weren't already convinced, the reviews from previous shoppers will definitely sway you.

"This hair styling tool is everything and more. It’s so easy to use and really does get rid of frizz in half the time of straighteners. A must have if your time is limited," wrote one, while another added: "Straightening my hair has never been this quick, and it leaves my hair silky for days afterwards. I would definitely recommend."
