It seems football isn't the only thing coming home this summer - men's fashion is too, with England's manager, Gareth Southgate, leading the way as our latest style icon.

The 50-year-old has been standing smartly on the sidelines throughout Euro 2020 wearing a tailored suit, with the eye-catching detail of a sleek patterned tie.

It seems we are not the only ones to notice Southgate's stylish accessories.

Cast your mind back to the last Euros in 2018, when the former professional football player caused waistcoats to soar in popularity after he cheered from the touch line in that M&S tailored waistcoat, which saw sales for the item shoot up by over 30% before selling out.

Now, retailer T.M. Lewin has seen a 350% increase in tie sales during the football extravaganza because of Southgate, once again.

Some fans have even hailed his latest navy polka dot neck-piece the "lucky tie", as it saw England sail into the semi-final on Wednesday 7 July following the team's recent win.

Prior to the Euros, it was confirmed that fashion house Percival would be styling the head coach, hence his £678 navy suit.

No wonder polka dot ties are flying off the shelves.

For those looking to channel their inner Southgate, we have you covered, as we've found a selection of patterned ties for you to style as you choose. Whether you're heading into the office, planning a romantic date and want to pull out all the stops, or have a wedding to attend, a tie is the formal touch you need, to complete the look and (hopefully) win the cup.
