The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain tomorrow (Tuesday), in force from 3am to 4pm.

Although generally lighter rain is predicted than the downpours brought in by Storm Babet, heavier bursts are expected at times and

with many areas still flooded or ground sodden, and many river levels still high, even light showers could lead to further flooding.

The Met Office says:

  • Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures

  • Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services

  • There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

  • There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life

  • There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads

People are advised to check the Met Office website for the latest updates and local train, tram and bus websites for details of any possible disruption to travel.
