Friends' Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow gathered for the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction of co-star Courteney Cox this week.

The trio played Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay and Monica Geller opposite each other for ten whole seasons of the sitcom, and they remain great pals to this day.

Cox became the 2,750th name to enter the famous Walk, with both Aniston and Kudrow on hand to deliver an emotional joint speech to mark this special occasion.

"We're very honoured to be here today to speak on your behalf, as your co-workers, friends, family, your sisters. We've known you for a very long time," Aniston began, with Kudrow adding: "It's been that way since we met almost 30 years ago."

Aniston, who currently stars in The Morning Show, continued: "To be friends with Courtney is to be family with Courtney, and she is responsible for all of that. From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you.

"And I was really nervous to meet her because I was a huge fan."

Before Friends, Cox was already a famous face, having appeared in the sitcom Family Ties and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective opposite Jim Carrey.

"We were all taking our cues from her," Kudrow revealed. "She instilled into all of us to support each other and to love one another and that actors need to support and love one another."

Cox, who is back on the big screen next week as Gale Weathers in Scream 6, then shared at the ceremony: "Friends taught me the importance of camaraderie and really sticking together.

"These friendships were at the most important time in my life, and we went through so many things together. And it just taught me about being there for each other – I know, that's the song: 'I'll be there for you'. But it's true. It was so nice to work with people that could bounce ideas off each other.

"Everybody wanted the best for everybody. There was no jealousy, it was only, 'Let's make the best show we can, and let's support each other in this'."

Friends streams on Netflix in the UK, where it also airs daily on Comedy Central. In the US, you can stream the show on HBO Max.
