Friends actor and Strictly stars take over the Celeb Bake Off tent in new trailer
The first trailer for The Great British Bake-Off celebrity special has been released, with several famous faces taking over the tent.
The specials, which have been filmed in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, boasts an impressive roster which includes Friends star David Schwimmer, Strictly Come Dancing contestants AJ Odudu and Ellie Taylor, and former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson.
The brief trailer showcases the famous faces as they enter the tent, with judge Paul Hollywood sharing a joke with Schwimmer about the size of a nozzle. The video was shared across the show’s official social media channels, with the caption reading: “Unlimited mayhem for you to devour.”
Other contestants include Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan, Top Gear co-host Paddy McGuinness, former TOWIE star Gemma Collins and Olympic diver Tom Daley.
Paul will be joined on the judging panel, as normal, by Prue Leith, with Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas on hosting duties. It will be the latter’s final appearance on the show, after he announced he would be stepping down from the role.
“Farewell Bake Off. It's been a delicious experience and I can't imagine a more fun way of spending my summers, but it's become clear to me I can't present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside my other projects,” he wrote.
“I wish whoever takes over all the very best and I can't wait to tune into the next series without already knowing who won,” he added.
Noel, who has hosted the show since 2017, paid tribute to Matt upon the announcement, saying: “Farewell buddy thank you for 3 amazing years. I will really miss your spark and huge smile in the tent and I will miss your kindness as a person and to all the bakers.
Producers of the show are yet to announce a replacement for Lucas, but bookies favourite Joe Lycett recently ruled himself out of the running, saying: “No thank you - I'm taking myself out of the race.”
The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 in the UK. The Stand Up To Cancer specials will air later this year. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
