Free Pret iced coffee on Friday if you use this password

This is not a drill – Pret is offering free iced coffee this Friday aka tomorrow.

Whether you’re enjoying the summer heatwave in a grassy park or sweltering at your desk, you can cool down with a delicious iced beverage courtesy of the coffee shop franchise.

The drinks will be available at Pret stores nationwide between the hours of 10am and 11am tomorrow.

All you have to do to claim your complimentary drink is to rock up at a Pret counter and say the not-so-secret password phrase: “Ice To Meet You”.

OK, you might feel a bit silly uttering this, but you’ll be far from the only one – and we reckon a cooling espresso-based treat is apt compensation.

So what exactly’s on offer? Pret’s baristas will be handing out a range of ice-cold options from the menu, including Iced Americanos and Iced Lattes.

Dairy-free? No problem – options made with alternative milks, such as almond, soy and rice-coconut, will also be on offer.

Selected stores will also be giving out the chain’s new Cold Brew drinks, brewed for over 14 hours with single origin beans from Peru.

Briony Raven, Head of Coffee and Packaging at Pret, said in a statement: “Given we are set to see some sunshine this week, we wanted to ease our customers into the weekend with an iced coffee on us.

“Our organic espresso is just as great served cold, over ice, as it is hot, while our new Cold Brew is delicious, full-bodied and velvety smooth.

“It combines a milk chocolate sweetness, with a mellow citrus acidity and a clean, refreshing finish, making it perfect for the summer months.”

Now, all you need to do is set a reminder in your calendar to bag that coffee tomorrow. You can thank us later.
