Frankie Bridge has received support from fans and fellow parents after she shared an image of her two children on their iPads as she enjoyed a family meal out.
The former Saturdays singer posted the photo of herself sitting between her two young boys wearing headphones plugged into their iPads on Instagram, and admitted that she has finally accepted she's "an iPad mum", although she never thought she would be.
"The reality of dinner out with the kids... I’ll admit it...," Frankie began in the caption. "I'm an iPad Mum... I swore I never would be... but here we are... the boys are happy... we’re happy... we're all happy!!! Cheers! and Bon appetit."
The post resonated with many parents who could relate, with one commenting: "Thank you for posting real life pictures that make the rest of us see we’re not failing or useless mothers."
Another added: "We all do it and we all said we never would."
"Aren't we all and I think most of us would have said exactly the same. Anything for dinner and a drink in peace," another follower wrote.
Frankie has two children with footballer Wayne Bridge – Parker, six, and Carter, who recently turned five. She recently revealed that lockdown has made her have a better work/life balance and has enjoyed spending more time with her boys.
"Having the excuse to slow down together and spend time together has been lovely," Frankie told the Mirror. "It's made me realise we all live our lives at such a fast pace. It’s good to take a step back and try things a bit differently.
She added: "I stress out a lot like most parents about a work life balance. It made me realise I can possibly do more things from home and it's taught me not to stress so much. Sometimes it's nice just to relax and enjoy the kids."
