Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman names his 2021 winner

Strictly Come Dancing alumni and current Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman may not have served on the panel for a few years now, but he's still casting his critical eyes over the contestants.

Appearing on Monday's (September 6) Good Morning Britain, Len was asked to give his opinion on the Class of 2021, and believes one person in particular definitely has the drive and ambition that could take them to the top.

"I played golf the other week with Dan Walker and he’s up for it," he told hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard. "I tell you, he’s a competitive sort of guy. Whether he’s good I don’t know, however, he won’t lose for lack of trying."

Later on, he said he hasn't seen Dan dancing yet, but the BBC Breakfast host has aspects about him that Len thinks would serve him well on the dance floor.

"He’s tall, he’s got an elegance about him," Len said, "he’s good at golf which is great because you need timing, rhythm, good movement, technique, all the stuff you need for dancing".

There's another line-up change on the Strictly judging panel this year, as Bruno Tonioli has stepped down due to travel complications, with Anton Du Beke fulfilling his long-held dream of becoming a full-time judge.
