Born in Argentina before moving to the U.S., Calemzuk is a former President of Fox Television Studios and CEO of Shine Group Americas. His production credits during these two roles included The Office, Ugly Betty, The Shield and The Amereicans. He led Fox into a turn-around that boosted its revenue to $400 million and into profitability, according to Reshet. On the networks side, Calemzuk served as President of Fox International Channels Europe in Rome during the launch of SKY Italia in 2002, where he also managed all the multi-channel operations in Spain, France, Germany, Turkey and Eastern Europe. Previously, he served as General Manager of Fox Kids Latin America in 1999.

More recently, Calemzuk has been an entrepreneur and advisor, co-founding companies like Raze (now part of WBD Latin America) and advising the likes of Time Inc, Sony Entertainment Ventures (India) and Israeli startup Deepdub.

“With his extensive experience and proven track record in the media and entertainment industry, we are confident that Emiliano will lead our channel to new heights of success,” said Reshet Board Chairman Nadav Topolski.

Calemzuk added: “With creativity and hard work we can accomplish great results together for the benefit of the company, the State of Israel, and its people.”

The appointment comes at a crucial time for Israeli broadcasting following Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel, which has stymied TV production. Prior to the attack, a media bill had been making its way through the Israeli parliament that was heavily criticized by Reshet and its competitors. Reshet had taken the unprecedented step of joining with rivals to form an emergency group forum opposing the bill, although it is on hold since the Gaza war began.
