Forget Maltesers Popcorn, TikTok Is All About Nutella Popcorn Now!

We recently discovered that people on TikTok have been making Maltesers popcorn. But that snack is soooooooooo last week, as we just heard about Nutella popcorn, and we’ve moved on to that. What can we say – we’re fickle creatures here at Delish.

Much like the wildly delicious Maltesers popcorn, Nutella popcorn is outrageously easy to make, so to be honest, we’re wondering why we haven’t been making it our whole lives.

So, how does it work? Well, according to this video from @trytomade, it’s pretty darn simple. He starts off by popping butter into a pan over a medium heat. He then adds popcorn kernels and a big ol’ spoonful of Nutella. And before you know it, the kernels start popping and he’s left with is the most delicious looking chocolatey, hazelnutty popcorn!

The only thing to be careful of, is to not turn up the heat too much as you don’t want to burn the Nutella. So just keep an eye on your pan while making this – no walking off to watch Netflix, yeah?

The way the Maltesers popcorn is made is slightly different, but it’s the same sort of idea. TikToker @foodttik starts off by pouring a very large amount of Maltesers into a pan over a medium heat. She then covers them with melted butter and popcorn kernels. Once the Maltesers have melted, she pops the lid on and continues to cook the whole lot over a medium heat; allowing the kernels to start popping.
