Under-eye circles are so 21st Century.

The Paris futurist Marine Serre just zapped them for good on her Fall 2019 runway with tiny LED rims that hovered just underneath the models' eyes. The ultimate "highlight" came in ultraviolet and laser green. They served a dual purpose, brightening both faces and the catwalk space, which was basically a cave by Aquaboulevard, the city's only waterslide park. (This is a real place and we almost went there. Dior beckoned instead, but maybe tomorrow.)

Other ways to disguise our humanity came in the form of tartan respirators (which were surprisingly practical for restraining low ponytails), rose gold face masks, and of course, a head-to-toe Marine Serre body stocking covered in moons. (Cool for introverts. Less so for emerging models like Claire de Regge, who joked, 'I opened my first fashion show, and nobody even knew it!)

The show had a 'survivalist' theme, but if you'd rather go for a 'thrive' look, here's a backstage secret: M.A.C's 24-hour concealer comes in 32 shades and is in every fashion pro's stash of please-let-me-look-more-alive products.

The good news: No batteries needed. But isn't it worth it to complete one of these over-the-moon (get it?) looks from one of Paris' coolest kids?
