Let's be honest, this year has been quite the whirlwind. And lockdown wasn't exactly how we imagined 2020 to go. But we're ready to jump back into things, and that means celebrating birthdays in style. Bigger and better than ever!

In a bid to make up for all the birthdays celebrated (or not celebrated, as the case may be) during lockdown, stationary brand Paperchase wants to make birthdays extra-special for the remainder of this year. The company is launching a Birthday Countdown Calendar, and you guessed it, it's like an Advent Calendar, but for birthdays. Genius, right?

Paperchase hinted about the new product via Instagram, captioning a post with: "PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. 2020 Birthdays are NOT cancelled. Something to celebrate is coming next week! "

Much like an advent calendar, recipients of the Birthday Countdown Calendar will be able to celebrate their birthday for the whole previous week by opening little doors that are filled with Paperchase stationary. Now if this isn't the quirkiest and cutest thing ever, I don't know what is.

In the week leading up to the big day, you will find:

  • Small Agenzio Notebook (RRP £9)

  • Coloured Fineliners (£6)

  • Sticky Tabs (£4)

  • Paperclips (£3.50)

  • Birthday Metal Pin Badge (£3)

  • Multi-Ink Ballpoint Pen (£3.50)

  • Pastel Highlights (£5 and shaped like sweets no less)

The Birthday Countdown Calendar will cost just £20 (worth £34) and is available from the 31 July online at paperchase.com and in store. So, keep your eyes peeled! We're sure these won't last long...
