Welcome to this week's round-up of food deals, discounts and freebies.
Best supermarket deals
This week we’re going to kick off with the half-price weekend deals at Lidl. You can buy 400g of unsmoked middle bacon rashers for 94p, fresh vine tomatoes (loose) for 99p/kg, 250g of large flat mushrooms for 50p and four tins of Branston baked beans for £1 (offers are only available on Saturday and Sunday).
There are also lots of great deals on meat including 375g of fresh British turkey breasts for £2.69, 1.7kg chickens for £3.89, 700g of pork loin chops for £3.29, 300g of pork loin medallions for £2.59, 500g of pork belly slices for £2.49 and 12 scotch beef meatballs for £1.49.
It’s also meal deal time at Marks & Spencer with a main, side, dessert and bottle of plonk for £10. New mains include Chicken & Chorizo Paella, Mediterranean Spiced Pork Belly, The Cook Menu Seafood Lasagne and Cheese & Leek En Croute. See the full menu here. Offer ends Tuesday 24th April.
Over at Morrisons Price Crunch bargains include Richmond thin sausages for £1 (was £1.75), Young’s Omega 3 Fish Fingers half-price at 99p, 500g Flora for £1 (was £1.70), 1kg McCain Rustic Oven Chips for £1 (was £1.50) and Butchers Minced Steak half-price at £3.49 per kg. It’s also BOGOF on Pizza Express 8-inch pizzas, excluding Pollo, so you get two for £4, Youngs Chip Shop Fish & Chips 400g are half-price at £1.50, Morrisons frozen belly pork joints are half-price at £3, J 20 Orange & Passionfruit and Apple & Mango 10-packs are half-price at £4.34 and, if you still need a chocolate fix, large Malteser, Galaxy and Mars Easter Eggs are better than half price at £3 (they were £6.40).
For hot deals at Sainsbury’s look out for Princes Wild Red Salmon 213g tins for £1.99 (was £3.99), a massive 820g of Sainsbury's Fresh British Chicken Thighs & Drumsticks for £2 (was £4), Sainsbury's Rhubarb (400g) for £1.50 (was £3) and Sainsbury's Snack Sausage Rolls (12 per pack) with 99p off, now only £1.
It’s 2 for 1 on Glorious! Skinny Soups (600g) so you only pay £1.99, Birds Eye Southern Fried Chicken (4 per pack) are reduced from £3.49 to £1.74 and you save 50% on Doritos Tangy Cheese (225g), now 99p, Sainsbury's Scottish Salmon Fillets (4 per pack), now £5 and Montorsi Negroni 12 Month Parma Ham, now £1.99, and Sainsbury's Rich & Chocolatey Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake - eight Servings - now only £3.50.
For Asda shoppers, buy 1L of Olivio Sunflower Olive Oil for £2 (was £2.99), Garner's Pickled Onions for £2 (was £2.74), Dolmio Pasta Vita for £1.50 (was £1.97), plus it’s two for £2 on Hoads Farm Free Range Medium Eggs (six), Asda Apples (four) and it's two for £3 Oasis Summerfruits Extra Light (1.5L).
Other handy multibuy offers include two for £1.50 on Ryvita Wholegrain Crackerbread (usually £1.09 each), two for £3 on 100g Asda Chosen by You Italian Smoked Pancetta (usually £2 each), two for £5 on 100g Extra Special Applewood and Beech Smoked Scottish Salmon or Organic Smoked Salmon Sliced (usually £2.98 each) and three for £1 on tins of KTC Peeled Plum Tomatoes in Tomato Juice (usually 37p each).
Next up at Tesco, for just £1 you can buy Wall's Mini Calippo Orange & Lemon-Lime (6x80ml) and Nestle Fab Ice Lollies (8x58ml), Tesco Bakers Medium Sliced Soft Wholemeal Bread is now 89p (was £1.05), Actimel Multifruit Yogurt Drink (12x100g) is now £1.92 (was £3.85), Tesco Tomato & Basil Soup is now £1 (was £1.60) and Napolina Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) is reduced from £3.79 to £1.89.
For other bargains, it’s two for £3 on various Rachel's Organic Yogurts (usually £2 each), Oreo Cookies are now 49p (was 99p), 600g Tesco Belgian Chocolate Black Forest Gateaux are £1.90 (was £2.29), Kellogg's Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes for £1.34 (was £2.69) and Kellogg's Krave Chocolate Hazelnut for only £1.34 (costs up to £2.69 in other supermarkets).
Finally, check out the special offers this week from online gourmet butcher Westin Gourmet which includes 24% off 1kg packs of pork sausage cocktails, now £7.78 (was £10.29), 24% off five chicken supremes, now £7.39 (was £9.67) and 19% off two 10oz pork chops for £2.63 (was £3.25).
Drink deals
There’s another code for Tesco Wine this week but only for new customers this time; if you spend at least £50 you can knock £10 off your bill with XX4PFX, valid until 31st May.
As well as the 20% discounts on Spanish wine at Majestic Wine mentioned last week you can also save 20% on South African wine but only until 23rd April so you’ll need to get a move on.
At Waitrose you can save up to 35% on the European Wine Showcase and if you’re shopping at M&S look out for Wine Clearance bargains, grab half-price cases of Comte De Noiron Champagne NV, now £90 for six bottles (equal to £15 per bottle), and mix and match two wine cases from this selection to save 25%.

Voucher codes
The Whittard sale is due to end any day now but you can save an extra 10% (on top of discounts of up to 50%) when you enter the voucher code EXTRA10 at the checkout.
If you’ve never shopped online at Tesco you can save £10 on a £50 spend with the code XXPPPC which is valid until 30th April.
New Sainsbury’s customers can save £10 on orders over £50 this time you need to use the code J4C6-QNH7-GYVR, which expires Saturday 28th April.
There are two new Pizza Hut Delivery codes available this week; use EMADTENGI for £10 off a £25 spend, or use EMAFPCDSK for 50% off when you spend £35 or more, both valid until 23rd April.
The others are still going; get 25% off orders over £25 using VCF2525LD; save £10 on orders over £30 using VCF3RTYRL; use VCNP3W4FA to get 40% off orders over £35; and from last week enter the code VCL241LHG for 2 for 1 pizzas – but this for collection only – all of which expire on 22nd April.
You can still save 35% on a £25 spend Dominos using the code VHXULVPU which expires at midnight on Sunday 22nd April.
