Florence Pugh's ‘rich girl’ energy is exactly what you need to see today

Florence Pugh’s style agenda is the gift that keeps on giving. During her latest outing in New York, she sported attire that looked like she’d stepped straight out of the set of Gossip Girl: the outfit, the bag, the bodyguard, the accessories, the attitude… everything. And quite frankly we are in awe.

Gwen Stefani said in her song Rich Girl that she would “clean out Vivienne Westwood in [her] Galliano gown”, but Pugh opted for a different agenda, and strutted through NYC with an unbothered attitude, in Valentino everything.

Florence wore a Valentino co-ord in New York City

The actress, who is fresh from starring in Don't Worry Darling alongside Harry Styles, wore the ‘Toile Iconographe Crepe De Chine’ blouse in beige, which she tucked into the brand’s matching shorts. She eschewed the preppy neck scarf and left the shirt wide open at the collar, enhancing her ‘no cares given’ attitude.

The brand’s aforementioned Toile Iconographe collection boasts its signature ‘V’ motif boldly splattered across the designs (a logomania print to rival Gucci’s interlocking G cardigans) so there was absolutely no second guessing if, or what, designer label Flo Pugh was wearing.

Her security guard carried her epic matching bag

Yesterday morning before her appearance on Good Morning America, it was apparent that Ms. Flo’s off-duty style is every bit as impressive as her epic red carpet style. Florence wore tights underneath her co-ord, paired with black heeled ankle boots. Thankfully for us both she and Nicola Peltz have demonstrated how to elevate attire with super sheer hosiery for spring this week.

She threw a leather jacket over one shoulder (because ‘rich girls’ don’t get cold it seems) and donned rectangular glasses for an extra touch of the affluent aesthetic. But the pièce de résistance? An oversized bag, in the same graphic pattern as her co-ord, being carried by her security guard.

Having a bad day? Channel some of Florence’s energy and you’ll be prepared for anything.
