Now that the dust has settled on all of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's well-deserved awards, the star will be returning to our TV screens in upcoming HBO comedic thriller Run.

The series is created by Waller-Bridge's Fleabag and Killing Eve co-writer and long-time collaborator Vicky Jones, and will be lead by Unbelievable's Merritt Wever and Star Wars actor Domhnall Gleeson.

Emmy winner Wever plays Ruby Richardson, whose life is suddenly thrown upside down when she receives a text from her college sweetheart inviting her to drop everything and meet him in New York to fulfil the pact they made 17 years earlier.

Ruby walks away from her ordinary life in the suburbs to revisit her past with her college ex, Gleeson's Billy Johnson, with whom she made a pact that if either one of them texted the word "run" and the other replied with the same, they would immediately meet in Grand Central Station and travel across America together.

Waller Bridge guest stars as Laurel, a woman who Ruby and Billy meet on their journey. Mad Men's Rich Sommer plays Laurence, Ruby's husband; Tamara Podemski plays police detective Babe Cloud, and The Good Wife's Archie Panjabi plays Fiona, Billy's former PA.

Jones and Waller Bridge are executive producers on the project alongside Jenny Robins, Kate Dennis, Emily Leo and Oliver Roskill of Wigwam Films. Run is produced by eOne, the studio behind acclaimed HBO series Sharp Objects.

Jones directed Waller-Bridge's stage production Fleabag in 2013, which was adapted into an Emmy, BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning television series.

Run launches on Sky Atlantic on April 15.
