Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have reunited online for a table read of the 1982 teen comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High – and we now have a first-look image.

In a teaser photo shared on Monday (September 14), the actors are seen sat in their respective homes, along with a host of other major stars, including Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn, John Legend, Shia Labeouf, Ray Liotta, Henry Golding and Dane Cook.

The virtual table read marks the first time Aniston and Pitt – who were married from 2000 to 2005 – have been seen together (albeit digitally) since their meeting backstage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January.

The table read will help to raise money for CORE, a charitable organisation providing emergency relief amid the coronavirus pandemic, as well as Reform Alliance, which is focused on criminal justice reform.

"We're so excited to finally bring you our Fast Times table read in what I must say is the coolest virtual classroom I've ever been in," said presenter Cook said in a statement.

"This amazing group of performers were absolutely committed to supporting two vital organizations – CORE and Reform Alliance – and we're thrilled to share ridiculously fun scenes from our little class project."

The event is set to stream on Facebook Live, TikTok and LIVEXLIVE on Thursday, (September 17), marking the 38th anniversary of the iconic comedy movie.

It's currently unclear which characters the actors will be playing, as both Aniston and Pitt were not part of the original cast.

Penn, however, played the memorable role of surfer dude Jeff Spicoli. Viewers will have to tune in to see if he reprises the character, or if they're truly going to mix things up.
