'First Dates' Fred Sirieix announces engagement
First Dates star Fred Sirieix has found true love of his own after announcing his engagement.
The 48-year-old French French Maître d' - who made his name sharing love advice with hopeful singles on the Channel 4 dating reality show - shared his happy news on Instagram.
Sirieix posted a picture of himself and his partner, who he affectionately calls ‘Fruitcake’, saying: “#fruitcake said yes,” along with a diamond ring emoji.
He was flooded with congratulations from his celebrity pals.

First Dates co-star, waitress Cici Coleman commented: "Awww Fred!!!!! So so happy for you both.”
Very little is known about ‘Fruitcake’ as Sirieix speaks very little about his private life.
In July 2016, he revealed he had never been married but had previously been in a 12-year-old relationship with ex Alex, with whom he has two children - Andrea, 15, and Lucien, 10.
He revealed he was in a new relationship with ‘Fruitcake’ in January 2018 and occasionally posts pictures of her on his Instagram account.
Sirieix previously told Fabulous magazine: "Occasionally, I’ll go for a little wine and some tapas after work with my partner, who I like to call “fruitcake”.

"In the evenings I like nothing more than sitting down with a beer and watching something on Netflix."
Last year Sirieix received an apology from the Home Office after confusion around his settled status in the UK after Brexit.
The Maitre D’ turned TV presenter - who first appeared on First Dates in 2013 - has lived in Britain for almost three decades, having moved from his native France to work in a variety of fine dining establishments.
Tweeting that the Home Office was requiring him to provide proof of residence, despite his history in the UK he wrote: “Just got a letter from updates@apply-for-eu-settled-status.homeoffice.gov.uk apparently you need proof I have been in the UK for last 5 years. Is this a joke? I have lived here for 27 years continuously.”
