Bonfire night update: Community fireworks shows in these 13 places around Derbyshire

Matlock Rugby Club’s fireworks show at Cromford Meadows will now take place on November 11, postponed for a week from November 4.
This weekend’s events at Chesterfield’s Stand Road, Tupton Rugby Club, Ambergate’s Hurt Arms and Long Eaton’s West Park have all been cancelled because of water-logged grounds posing a risk to public safety.
Tickets are going like hot cakes for the few community firework displays that are on so you’d better move quickly if you want them!

The Whitworth on Station Road, Darley Dale will host a firework show on Saturday, November 4, starting at 7pm with visitors admitted from 5pm. There will be free inflatables, a Wipeout machine, live music by Lady Rose and a bar serving beer, wine and soft drinks. Tickets cost £7.50 (adult, 16 and over), £5 (under 16), £22 (family, two adults and two children), children two years and under get in free. Book tickets online at www.thewhitworth.org, also available on the gate but at a premium price.
Edale's bonfire night is on the village hall playing field on Saturday, November 4. Gates open 5.30pm, bonfire lit at 6pm and fireworks at 7pm. There will be a barbecue, cheese burgers, hot dogs, homemade cakes, soup, hot beverages, locally brewed beer, mulled wine, cans of lager, cider, pop. Admission £5 (adult), £2 (child).
Fireworks and a bonfire will light up the field behind Morton Village Hall on November 4. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7pm. Admission is £3 (adult), £1.50 (child), free entry for infants.
Golden Valley Caravan Park will be holding its end of season fireworks extravaganza on November 4. Gates open at 5.30pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm. There will be children's amusements and mascots, an indoor disco with a DJ, live music from Red Lane and food and drink outlets. Entrance fee and outdoor stalls are cash only. Admission on the gate is £10 (adult) and £5 (child). Free parking (first come, first served).
Belper Meadows Community Sports Club (beside Belper Town FC) at The Triangle will host the town's biggest bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, November 4, from 6pm to 8.10pm. The fireworks will start at 7pm. Fire breathers and LED performers will entertain the crowds who can feed their hunger and thirst with burgers and hot dogs, doughnuts and candy floss, hot drinks and mulled wine.Tickets range from £3 to £23 (individual) and £18-24 (group). Whaley Bridge community bonfire and fireworks will be held at the cricket ground on November 4. Gates open at 5.30pm when there will be the lighting of the beacon and braziers and visitors can browse stalls, tuck into barbecue food or slake their thirst in the refreshment pavilion or at the bar. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm followed by fireworks display at 7.30pm. Admission on the gate is £8 (adult), £5 (child), £20 (family), free for under 5s. There is pedestrian access only, anyone arriving by car is recommended to park in the town centre and join the Torch Light Trundle, a free guided walk, from the Goyt Inn to the cricket ground at 6pm.
Bonfire night in Eyam kicks off on November 4 with a torchlit procession with the Eyam Willow Rat to the chants of Burn The Rat, starting from Eyam Village Square at 6.15pm. A bonfire, fireworks and drinks will follow at Hawkhill Road car park. Admission is by ticket only and costs £8 (adult), £4 (child, under 16), free for under 2s, on sale (cash only) at local shops and pubs.
Buxton cricket ground on Park Road, Buxton, will host a fireworks spectacular on Sunday, November 5. A children's firework display will start at 5.40pm and the main display at 7.20pm. FIre performers, funfair rides and Clubbercise and Zumba fitness will add to the fun. Tickets £7.50 (adult), £3.50 (child under 13), £18 (family ticket, two adults and two children). A fireworks show presented by professional company Pyrotex Fireworx will take place at Tibshelf Village Hall on November 5. There will be a children's display (no bangs) at 7pm and the main attraction at 7.30pm. Free entry, donations in aid of Tibshelf Carnival which will also benefit from proceeds of a raffle. Refreshments including burgers, hot dogs, mushy peas, plus a bar, will be available.
The Grouse Inn at Darley Dale is holding a fireworks display on Saturday, November 4. The bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm and the fireworks begin at 8pm. Music will be provided by Rivers Band. Entry £3 (adult), £1.50 (child) via wristbands now on sale at the pub.
Matlock Rugby Club is hosting a musical fireworks show and light display at Cromford Meadows on November 11, postponed from November 4. The event, which runs from 5pm until 11pm, will include a children's firework show, fairground rides, live music, barbecue, food and drink stalls. Tickets £15 (adult), £8 (child), £40 (family, two adults and two children) five years and under free admission.
