Felicity Huffman lands first TV role since serving prison sentence
Felicity Huffman has reportedly landed her first acting role since serving time in prison for her role in the college admissions scandal.
According to Deadline, the actor has landed a pilot for a new comedy at ABC, which aired Desperate Housewives between 2004 and 2012.
The single-camera comedy centres around the owner of the Sacramento River Cats, a real-life Minor League Baseball team.
The Independent has contacted ABC and Huffman’s agent for comment.
Huffman was released from federal prison in October last year after serving 11 days of a two-week sentence in California. Her early release was the result of prison guidelines for inmates whose release date falls on weekends.
The actor pleaded guilty in May 2019 to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.
Lori Loughlin has served half of a two-month sentence also related to the college admissions scandal. The former Full House star pleaded guilty in May this year to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
Her husband Mossimo Giuannulli pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud. He received a five-month sentence, which he began serving earlier this month.
