There’s nothing more we love here at Delish than getting insider information – especially when it’s insider information from fast food workers.

The latest secret we’ve been told in regard to fast food is about the drinks you order at the likes of McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, Five Guys and Wendy’s. And it’s to do with the ice you get in your soft drinks. Allow us to explain…

A Dunkin’ Donuts employee from the US of A has explained on TikTok that you should always ask for no ice in your drink. But it’s not for the reason you might think.

According to the TikTok user, the reason for asking for no ice is that, if you have ice in your drink, you’ll end up with far less of the soft drink that you ordered. So no ice means more drink which means better value for money.

“That's why I don't ask for ice, it takes up too much space and it waters the drink down,” the TikToker said.

And a couple of other people commented that they do the same thing.

“I always ask for no ice and then just add ice when I get home,” said one, while another commented, “Doesn't surprise me.”

So, if you want more bang for your buck, skip the ice from now on.
