A fast food chain has released a bizarre recipe for Turkey stuffing, but it works

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving dinner without a turkey and stuffing - but what about White Castle sliders?

In a somewhat unexpected (and weird) foray into the world of Thanksgiving recipes, it seems that White Castle is convinced their sliders make the perfect turkey stuffing, and so have re-released their 'famous' slider stuffing recipe.

Originally invented in 1991, the story goes that the stuffing “was initially the work of an enterprising employee who wanted to ‘enhance’ her grandma’s recipe.” While it is likely you have never heard of this 'famous' recipe, according to Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle, families across the country make the White Castle Turkey Stuffing a staple of their Thanksgiving dinner.

As for the secret ingredient? White Castle Sliders obviously.

Overall, the recipe seems simple enough, White Castle Turkey Stuffing calls for:

  • 10 White Castle Sliders (no pickles)

  • 1 ½ cups of diced celery

  • 1 ¼ teaspoons each of ground thyme and ground sage

  • 1 ½ teaspoons coarse ground black pepper

  • ¼ cup chicken broth.
