How to Fashion Week hairstyles: From Erdem's braids to Fendi's half-up

Fashion Week season has, as always, delighted us with new ideas, styles and trends. These not only include the fashion we saw on the catwalk but hairstyles and makeup trends too. Here is the pick of the best (and most wearable) hair looks from the four major fashion weeks and how to do it yourself at home in no time at all.

1. Twisted Braids - Erdem - London Fashion Week

You Will Need: Hair ties, bobby pins and a ribbon

Time: Five Minutes

To Do: Tie the ribbon around the crown of your head and tie in a bow underneath the left ear. Then, plait two basic braids and secure in place with two hair ties. Wrap one around the back of the head and pin. Repeat with the other side so it covers up the joins and ties. Use the remaining bobby pins to hold the plaits, tucking them under so they can’t be seen.

2. Sleek Hair - Marchesa - New York Fashion Week

You Will Need: Hair straighteners, bobby pins, hair spray and a statement hair clip

Time: Ten Minutes

To Do: Straighten your hair so that it lies flat and sleek. Then, pin about a two inch section from above your ear, around the back of your head. Take the remaining hair on top and pin above, using a statement hair clip. Spray in place.

3. Half-Up Style - Fendi - Milan Fashion Week

You Will Need: Texturising spray and a hair tie

Time: Two Minutes

To Do: Spray the texturising spray all over your hair and work in with your fingers. Then, gather the top section of your hair into a high ponytail, securing with a hair tie.

4. Tousled Braid - Valentino - Paris Fashion Week

You Will Need: A clear hair tie

Time: Five Minutes

To Do: Hold all your hair in a ponytail then bring the bottom of it through the hair above your hand, folding it in on itself. Then, braid the hair all the way down, pulling the sides so that it doesn’t look neat. Secure in place with a clear hair tie.
