The fashion highlights from the 2021 Grammy Awards

The world has been starved of red-carpet glamour for the past 12 months, making this awards season all the more exciting for those of us who love a bit of celebrity fashion – and the stars are certainly making up for lost time with their choice of attire.

Following on from the glitzy arrivals at the virtual Golden Globes and the many standout looks from last weekend's Critics' Choice Awards, Sunday evening saw the 2021 Grammys take place in Los Angeles with many in-person attendees and the likes of Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Lizzo and Harry Styles certainly delivering in the fashion stakes.

She made history on the night by becoming the most decorated female artist ever after winning her 28th Grammy – and Beyoncé certainly dressed for the occasion. The singer impressed in an off-the-shoulder leather mini dress by Schiaparelli couture, which she teamed with matching leather opera gloves (complete with a painted gold manicure) and statement earrings from the brand.

Dua Lipa and Versace are always a killer red-carpet combo, and the 2021 Grammys was no different. The singer arrived at the award show wearing a custom-made Atelier Versace column dress that was entirely covered in mesh and encrusted with Swarovski crystals. She later changed into another pink custom Versace look for her performance.

Megan Thee Stallion was another songstress who pulled out all the stops on the night, wearing a strapless, bright orange evening gown by Dolce & Gabbana, which featured a giant bow on the back and an almost hip-high split, which gave the otherwise demure look a very Grammys-appropriate edge.

He is never one to conform to typical menswear looks – and Harry Styles may have outdone himself for the 2021 Grammys wearing not one, not two but three faux-fur feather boas throughout the night. The singer started the evening on the red carpet in a checked look, wore this leather suit for his performance and later changed into a beige ensemble, all custom Gucci.

Haim gave a lesson in co-ordinated dressing last night, with all three sisters looking excellent wearing top-to-toe pale blue Prada looks from the Italian label's most recent ready-to-wear collection.

Lizzo opted for a strapless, metallic green midi dress by Balmain for the 2021 Grammys, which was complete with a mermaid-inspired ruffled hem. She later changed into a floor-length, pink version of the frock as she presented on stage.

The younger sister of Miley Cyrus – who has made a name for herself on the red carpet – made sure to stand out at the Grammys wearing a striking Schiaparelli haute couture ballgown.
