Kate Middleton and husband William, formerly referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, just attended their first official royal engagement as the newly titled Prince and Princess of Wales. It was also their first engagement since William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, sadly passed in September.

In a memo about the trip, Kensington Palace shared, “The Prince and Princess have a deep affection for Wales, having made their first family home in Anglesey, and have thoroughly enjoyed previous visits and the warmth and kindness shown by the Welsh people."

Kate opted for a striking red coat by one of her favourite labels, L.K. Bennett. The calls the item the "Spencer Red Recycled Wool Blend Snaffle-Detail Coat," and fans think that the Spencer coat was chosen as a subtle tribute to William's late mother Diana Spencer, who was also the Princess of Wales.

Here's the exact coat Kate's wearing:

So pretty. Kate paired the coat with black wide-leg trousers and a matching jumper, gold jewellery, a black Grace Han bag, and some black Russell & Bromley heels. They spent the day greeting locals, volunteers, and children. How sweet is this picture?
