Flesh and Blood viewers are still gripped by the new ITV drama, after its second episode has aired.

Kicking off earlier this week, the series starring Imelda Staunton as Mary and Francesca Annis as Vivien introduced the show's plot, set around Vivien's new romance with the mysterious Mark (Stephen Rea) much to the dismay of her children. As the drama unfolds, neighbour Mary has been watching on.

In episode two, we saw Vivien and Mark's relationship intensify, with him gifting her a retro car and continuing to profess his love.

There's also the suggestion that Mark - a retired doctor - could be drugging Vivien, causing her collapse.

There's a theory circulating on social media that Mark is the lover of Vivien's now late husband, out for revenge because they couldn't be together.

While it's plausible, given Vivien has suggested her late husband wasn't always faithful, other theories make sense too. Some viewers have put forward that Mary is protecting Vivien and puts Mark in the bodybag we've seen glimpses of, while others think Mary in fact kills Vivien.

After episode two, there's also the question of who set fire to the car Mark gifted Vivien? And the issue of Natalie being pregnant with a married man's child.

We'll see more drama unfolding when Flesh and Blood airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.
