Fans are saying Britney Spears is officially back after the singer threw some serious shade at her sister on Instagram yesterday (13 October).
ICYMI, earlier this week Jamie Lynn Spears announced the upcoming release of her autobiography, Things I Should Have Said. In a post on socials about the book, she said: "I know I still have A LOT of learning to do, but I feel like finishing this book gave me closure on this '30 year long' chapter of my life, and hopefully helps anyone else out there who forgot their worth, lost their voice or is trying to break an unhealthy cycle in their life."
But it seems Jamie's book hasn't gone down too well with big sister Britney, who took to her own Instagram to share her thoughts. Speaking to her 35.4 million followers, the musician said: "I’m thinking of releasing a book next year, but I’m having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help!"
She continued, "Option #1… 'Sh*t, I really don’t know.' Option #2… 'I really care what people think.' What do you guys think????" The 39-year-old accompanied the post with a series of eye-roll emojis, and a pretty sassy looking photo of herself.
Her post has already racked up nearly a million likes, and plenty of fans took to the comments section to point out Britney's not-so-subtle shade. "I'm loving this shade," said one Instagram user, as another fan wrote "She came for Jamie Lynn lmfao." A third follower commented "Queen of shading your sister," with someone else adding "Shots fired, looking at you JL."
In recent years, Jamie Lynn has received backlash from Britney fans over her relationship with the singer during her conservatorship battle. And, back in June, Jamie addressed the criticism, saying: "Maybe I didn’t support her the way the public would like me to, with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you that I’ve supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after."
