Family firm set to open seventh car dealership plus multi-million pound showroom
A family-run car dealership with seven locations across East Anglia has announced plans for a new multi-million-pound showroom in Norfolk.
Holden Group, which represents brands including Kia, Volvo, Honda, will relocate its King’s Lynn-based dealership, Hylton Gott Volvo, to the new 1.2 acre site in the town in summer 2024.
The showroom will feature a hospitality area, dedicated handover bay, and “modern state-of-the-art workshop” where customers can view their car being serviced.
The company also announced it has acquired a seventh location, the Cecil and Larter dealership in Bury St Edmunds.
All 35 colleagues from the site will transfer to Holden Group, taking the group’s total employees to 220.
Tim Holden, chairman of Holden Group, said “Cecil and Larter is another local family business with a long history, having opened in 1927.
“With an emphasis on family values and delivering quality service, the business is an excellent fit for us.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming our new colleagues to the team and continuing to provide local customers with the same high-quality sales, servicing and aftercare that they currently enjoy.”
