If you’re a fan of athleisure, you’re probs au fait with Sporty & Rich. Actually, if you have perused Pinterest long enough you’ve probably scrolled through reams of the brand’s achingly cool content or someone achingly cool wearing it.

The brand, founded by Emily Oberg, offers up aesthetically pleasing gym gear for your workout routine as well as the comfiest wear to lounge in after and now, well they're coming for your beauty routine too.

“I have wanted to do beauty for a long time because it seems like such a natural extension of the brand. I had always thought about creating a simple line with just the basics/necessities,” says Emily Oberg, when we quizzed her on the launch. “Sort of like a white tee version of a skincare line. Nothing fancy, no crazy active ingredients, safe for nearly all skin types and all genders, and products you can easily add to your existing routine.”

Oberg wasn’t kidding about creating a simple line, it consists of just 5 products across skin and body (we’ve outlined everything below!), which probably speaks to how parred back her beauty routine is. “I'm super low maintenance when it comes to these things. I don't enjoy spending time in the bathroom and having a multi-step regimen. I have found what works for me and the less the better,” she says.

Of the line-up, Oberg says her favourite to create was the Multi-purpose Balm. “It was tricky. There are so many different lip balm variations on the market so I wanted this one to stand out and be perfect. The perfect texture, perfect amount of shine— not so shiny that men can't use it, but not too dull that it wouldn't do anything for your lips.” She's not wrong, there are SO many lip products on the market, it's hard to know how to make one stand out from the crowd.

“For me, the smell was also so important. Since I was little, I always loved yummy tasting and smelling lip balm. We only used essential oil-based scents in this line because it is the cleanest way to add fragrance and we ended up going with a cherry scent that smells like candy and ripe berries.”

This is my favourite of the line-up. Post-shower is the best time to apply to allow it to sink into your warm skin and you feel super smooth, like a dolphin after. The formula consists of sweet almond oil, argan oil and sunflower oil and benefits from Vitamin E and Omega Fatty Acids to moisturise your skin more than superficially.

This cleanser, which is fragrance-free, feels super soothing on the skin. It contains skin-loving ingredients like argan oil, Mediterranean seaweed, moringa extract, olive extract and hyaluronic acid to calm skin and lock in moisture. I think this makes a perfect morning, or post-workout cleanse but its gentle formula means I would stick to using this as a morning cleanser or second cleanse but not something to take your make-up off.

What’s more refreshing than a cooling face spritz after a workout class? This mist contains triple molecular hyaluronic for a moisture boost, and moringa extract for its antioxidant properties and has a super subtle fragrance to soothe your senses. I wouldn’t say this is a must-have but it’s a nice-to-have in your gym bag, without doubt.

I was surprised how much I loved this product. The metal tube makes it so easy to squeeze every ounce out of it. It has a non-sticky texture that makes it easy to apply on the go and is packed with organic shea butter to ensure the hands feel softened swiftly after use.

Oberg refers to this as a lip balm but thanks to the oils in it (including sweet almond and olive oil) you can use it anywhere that feels a bit rough and chapped. It doesn’t give a glossy look as Oberg wanted it to be perfect for everyone but because of this, I found myself reaching for it less than my other balms.
