James Martin has hailed Lyon as "one of the world's great gastronomic cities", and fell in love with French cuisine ever since tasting his first authentic buttery croissant there as a trainee chef. Now we're inviting you to join him, along with TV wine expert Susy Atkins, on a river cruise along the iconic Rhone.
Prima’s eight-day trip will give you the chance to visit the world-famous Tain l'Hermitage vineyards, and experience a guided wine tasting and talk from Saturday Kitchen expert Susy Atkins.
You'll also enjoy an in-depth cooking demonstration with James Martin, where he’ll give you his hints and tips for creating some of his favourite French, plus hear about his life during a talk and dine on a menu designed by James himself.
You’ll take in the secret lanes of Lyon on a guided tour, explore historic sites like the Pont d’Avignon and enjoy a special Provençale dinner prepared and hosted by French Top Chef finalist Fabien Morreale.

In that time he’s presented popular TV shows including James Martin: Yorkshire's Finest, Saturday Kitchen and James Martin’s French Adventure, as well as running James Martin Manchester and The Kitchen at luxury hotel Chewton Glen.
Susy Atkins regularly appears on Saturday Kitchen and is a wine writer, broadcaster and newspaper columnist. She is also winner of the Glenfiddich Food & Drink and Prix du Champagne Lanson awards.
