Exhausted mum threatens to sell toddler on eBay after he covers brand new TV in nappy cream

An exhausted mother has threatened to put her toddler on eBay after he covered her brand new 52-inch TV in nappy cream.

Georgia Joyce left two-year-old son Charlie alone with the TV for just 90 seconds but returned to find he had smeared Sudocrem all over the TV screen, along with her sofa, carpet and his own body.

Georgia, 23, who had gone to make Charlie a sandwich, admitted she didn’t know “whether to laugh or cry” when she discovered the chaos he had wreaked, adding: “I am just ready to put him on eBay.”

“I didn’t know what to do. It was one of those moments where I thought ‘do I laugh or cry?”, said Georgia, from Peterlee in Sunderland.

“The damage was already done so I thought there was no point stopping him. He was having the time of his life. Every parent goes through these moments. You can see in the pictures how proud of himself he was. He was so proud of what he had done.”

But while Georgia couldn’t stop laughing, apparently husband Michael Joyce, 25, was furious and gave Charlie a telling off.

Georgia took to social media to post the hilarious pictures, along with the caption “Anyone want a child? It won’t come out the brand new carpet or sofa.”

She added: “I think it is just a rite of passage that a child has a Sudocrem incident. How can you tell a two-year-old off for something he is so proud of? Do I punish his creativity? Their minds are different to ours.

“We have got as much as we can out. We can still use the TV but it has stained the carpet and sofa. It is just so oily. We will just have to keep scrubbing.”

Destructive – Georgia finds Charlie’s antics comical, but husband Michael isn’t as amused

The mum of one revealed that the family have only lived in this house for just two months and all of their new furniture is now stained.

Georgia said: “He just does the most hilarious stuff. He is so comical. I’m really laid back and I just laugh at him but his dad tells him off.

“He is very active. If you imagine the most destructive two-year-old boy that is him. I share stories of him with family and friends quite a lot.

“The other day I couldn’t find him anywhere, I was searching the house for him and I could hear him giggling. He had hidden himself in his wardrobe.

“The moment you give birth that is it. It’s totally downhill.”
