Exclusive: Lady Amelia Spencer reveals poignant moment on fairytale wedding day
The beautiful wedding of Lady Amelia Spencer and Greg Mallett had many special moments, but one occurrence was particularly poignant.
Recalling an unforgettable moment, which took place right before she walked down the aisle, the niece of Diana, Princess of Wales told HELLO!: "As I was revealing my dress to my bridesmaids, a feather landed on my veil. Then the sun came out a minute before the ceremony and it stayed sunny all day.
Amelia, 30, continued: "I believe in a higher power and I thought it was beautiful and special. Someone was saying: 'This is right, this is meant to be.'
"Anyone who has passed away, that we’ve loved in our lives, they were all there with us that day."
Fitness and nutrition coach Greg, who proposed to Amelia in July 2020 at Clouds Estate in South Africa, added: “My gran on my mum’s side sadly isn't with us anymore, so for me, I felt her presence there as well.”

Other special moments of the day – covered exclusively by HELLO! – included Amelia's younger brother Samuel Aitken walking her down the aisle, and an emotional speech given by Amelia's siblings: twin sister Lady Eliza, older sister Lady Kitty, Samuel, and Lady Lara Spencer – the 17-year-old daughter of Amelia’s father and his second wife Caroline Freud – at the reception.
"My siblings' speech was so special – I cried a little," said Amelia.
