According to The Met Office, 'there is a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris and a slight chance of some damage to buildings, including tiles blown from roofs'.
It also warned there is a chance of power cuts, with the potential to affect other services including mobile phone coverage.
Longer journey times are likely, or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected. Some roads and bridges are likely to close.
There is a chance of injury and danger to life from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties; with a chance of minor flooding of coastal roads.
