Off-White is the latest fashion house to break into beauty with a line named Paperwork, conceived by its late creative director Virgil Abloh prior to his untimely passing last autumn.

True to his vision, Abloh described Paperwork as “another canvas, another surface for human expression,” and the result is both as playful and progressive as you’d imagine.

Positioned as genderless and ageless, the collection comprises four Solution fragrances, six Imprint face and body solid pigment crayons, a set of Template stencils, and six Color Matter nail polishes. The focus is on experiencing the products in a customisable way, encouraging endless creativity.

The fragrances – the first of the category launches to drop – were crafted by Abloh in collaboration with celebrated perfumers Alexis Dadier, Jerome Epinette, and Sidonie Lancesseur. Each priced at £135, they take inspiration from Nineties nostalgia, bougie classics and natural earth elements to invoke a mood.

On the horizon the Imprint paint sticks will launch in bold hues with formulas that are waterproof and smudge-proof, yet simple to remove. While Template, the face and body stencils first spotted on models at the special Off-White fashion show that recently took place in Paris, further explore Abloh's gesture of 'tagging' the body with street art codes.

Finally – for now – the Color Matter nail polishes present a textural experience as much as a visual one. In addition to three deep matte polishes comes a multi-reflective glitter, a self-cracking white for a purposefully subversive finish, and a versatile clear infused with amethyst crystal extract.

As well as selling directly from at Off-White, Paperwork has launched at Farfetch, beauty’s newest luxury destination that went live yesterday.
