The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are about to become podcast hosts for the very first time.

Prince Harry and Meghan have signed a multi-year partnership with Spotify under their Archewell Audio production company.

They plan to create exclusive content produced by themselves, "all with the goal to build a community through shared experience, narratives, and values," the Sussexes

said in a joint statement.

“What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction," they explained.

“With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other’s stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are.”

The podcast, which comes three months after they signed a production deal with Netflix, won’t make its debut until 2021 - but they will release a Christmas special before the end of the year.

The special episode “will feature stories of hope and compassion from inspirational guests in celebration of the new year,” reports a statement from Spotify.

Archewell Audio was named in honour of their one-year-old son, Archie.
