Bling Empire season 3 is coming next month!
Bling Empire season 2 has scratched the reality TV itch we didn't even know we had, after the second series surrounding the wealthy Asians and Asian Americans of LA dropped on Netflix earlier this year. And while we catch up on all the goss surrounding Anna Shay, Kane Lim and the crew, here's a look at what we know about a potential season three, from expected release date to cast and more.
What is Bling Empire season 3's release date?
On the 13th September 2022, Netflix revealed the third season of Bling Empire will drop on the streaming service on Wednesday 5th October. Mark it in your diaries, people!
When was Bling Empire season 3 confirmed?
Back in May, newcomer Dorothy Wang revealed to Page Six that not only is season 3 happening, but it's also already been filmed. "It’s already locked and loaded," she said, explaining that the episodes were recorded back to back.
"All the drama that you see [in season 2], it really continues to intensify and heat up. The feuds get feudier [sic] and there’s a lot of deep-rooted things that come out." She added, "A lot of lines are drawn and a lot of friendships are ended."
Back in March 2021, Netflix revealed Bling Empire would be back for a second season, while also confirming seasons four and five of Selling Sunset. The first season was released in January 2021, while the second came in spring 2022.
Who will star in Bling Empire season 3?
While Chèrie Chan and Jessey Lee disappeared mid-way through season two of Bling Empire, fans are hoping all of the other main characters will be present for another series.
That includes icon Anna Shay, Christine and Gabriel Chiu, Kim Lee, Kevin Kreider, Kelly Mi Li, Kane Lim, Jaime Xie and Jessy Lee. Dorothy Wang and Mimi Morris also joined for season two, so let's hope there'll be new cast members for a third season.
What might happen in Bling Empire season 3?
Season two ended on a major cliffhanger between Kane, Christine and Anna, after he told Anna that Christine had heard her claiming she wanted to "end" her. When Anna and Christine see each other, the situation between them actually softens when they realise Kane has twisted things, and instead they decide to confront him over his gossiping. Only problem is, the season ends before we get to see the stand off!
Viewers then saw the return of Drew - Kelly's ex-boyfriend - who turned up to Anna's house with a bunch of flowers, while fans were also left in the dark over Kim and Kevin's will they / won't they relationship. We need answers.
As the official season three synopsis says, "Viewers will finally learn why someone’s ex is crawling back with a bouquet of flowers in hand. Picking up where we last left LA’s fabulous and (mostly) wealthy Asians, the tension is at an all-time high in this friend group — but that won’t stop them from living their best lives.
"After a failed fling with Kevin Kreider, Kim Lee is off to Vegas in the upcoming season to continue her successful DJ residency. As for the other cast members, Kane Lim books a major fashion campaign, while Christine Chiu takes Kevin to Paris Fashion Week to help him rekindle an old flame. They don’t call Paris the 'city of love' for nothing."
