Everything you need to know about your birthday month’s birthstone

Each of the twelve months of the year has its own birthstone. These magical rocks have got your back, and can super-charge you with natural good vibes.

Every birthstone is unique, taking hundreds if not thousands of years to form in the ground, developing its own properties in the process. Everything in the universe ~vibrates~, including rocks and gems. When we hold a gemstone closely, its unique vibrations tune in to our own and synch in, harmonising our energy naturally. This invisible, but powerful, connection is the conduit to tuning in to the gemstone’s properties, so it can lend us its powers, balancing our energy with its own.

Many different cultures and civilisations, right back to the Bible, have dabbled with the idea that certain gemstones represent different months of the year or zodiac signs, and possess mystical (and medicinal) qualities.

Your birthstone can work hard for you as a talisman for rituals which invoke and amplify its healing, protective or rejuvenating properties. Or, you could just buy a pretty pendant and leave it at that. Here's a look at what birthstone you are, based on the month you were born. Put this sparkly gem on your next birthday list, pronto!
