The Irregulars dropped on Netflix earlier this week, and binge-watchers have been all over it. But many fans have all been saying the same thing about the show, and you won't be able to unsee it.

The show is essentially a Sherlock Holmes spin-off, and follows the inhabitants of 221B Baker Street as they solve a series of mysteries in order to protect London. The Netflix twist? They're a group of "troubled street teens" and they're up against supernatural forces.

It dropped in full on March 26th, 2021, and fans have been all over it on social media - with many pointing out the striking resemblance between actor Harrison Osterfield, and another actor - James McAvoy.

"You're telling me this boy isn't related to James McAvoy?? because?? #TheIrregulars," one person wrote, while another added, "Is it me or does Leopold in #TheIrregulars have a look of a young blond James McAvoy about him?"

Someone else put, "The guy who plays Leopold in The Irregulars, Harrison Osterfield, will make a fantastic portrayal of a young James McAvoy; the resemblance is pretty good IMO."

In Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novels, the Baker Street Irregulars are an eclectic group of street kids who Sherlock occasionally employs to gain information he wouldn't normally have access to. As for the Netflix series, which is loosely based on the gang, the official synopsis reads:

"Set in Victorian London, the series follows a gang of troubled street teens who are manipulated into solving crimes for the sinister Doctor Watson and his mysterious business partner, the elusive Sherlock Holmes. As the crimes take on a horrifying supernatural edge and a dark power emerges, it'll be up to the Irregulars to come together to save not only London but the entire world."
