·2-min read

2020 has been a bit of a disaster for film and TV, with productions and release dates being put on hold left, right and centre. But one project that has a solid release date, brilliant cast and exciting first trailer is Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

Here's what you need to know about the upcoming adaptation.

What's Everybody's Talking About Jamie about?

First adapted into a West End play, Everybody's Talking About Jamie is based on the true story of Jamie New: a teenage boy who wants to be a drag queen. A tale of identity and belonging, Jamie is attempting to find his place in the world and plan for his future, while also facing judgement from family and classmates. Thankfully, his mum Margaret (played by Sarah Lancashire) and the brilliant drag queen Loco Channelle (Richard E. Grant) are on hand to offer support, guidance - and great high heels.

Do we have an Everybody's Talking About Jamie trailer?

Yes! The first trailer dropped in early October 2020, and it's as emotional as it is brilliant. In it, we watch Jamie tentatively dip his toe into performing and drag, while his friends and family adjust to the teen as a queen. Watch the trailer above.
