Looking as perfectly polished as ever, Amal Clooney graced the Venice Film Festival red carpet with husband George this weekend for the premiere of Suburbicon.

Channelling an old-meets-new Hollywood look with a glossy faux bob and glowing complexion, her glam squad revealed the how-to behind it.

The A-list's favourite make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury, used her own products–naturally–and revealed to us all the tricks of the trade.

The make-up

1.Tilbury prepped Amal's skin with her Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask, to reduce wrinkles, smooth, brighten, lift and hydrate the skin.

2.To achieve dewy, luminous skin, the make-up artist then applied her best-selling Magic Cream to Clooney's face and neck to plump and hydrate, and create the perfect canvas for make-up. She followed this with her Magic Eye Rescue to firm, plump and brighten the eye area.

3.Tilbury then applied her Magic Foundation in shades 5 and 7 for a flawless complexion.

4.She followed this with The Retoucher concealer in shade 3 and the Mini Miracle Eye Wand in 2 around the eyes and nose where needed, to mask any minor imperfections.

5.To enhance Clooney's cheekbones, Tilbury applied her new Hollywood Contour Wand in medium/dark for soft contours, buffed in with her Hollywood Complexion brush, and applied her new Hollywood Beauty Light Wand highlighter on top of her cheekbones, to bounce off the light.

6.To add subtle definition to Clooney's brows and structure to her face, Tilbury used her Brow Lift in Supermodel.

7.She then applied a wash of Eyes to Mesmerise cream eyeshadow in Marie Antoinette, lightly blended out towards the eye socket for guilded lids.

8.Rock 'n' Kohl liquid eyeliner pencil in Barbarella Brown was used to create a seductive feline flick, followed by Tilbury's Full Fat Lashes mascara on her top and bottom lashes.

9.She then applied Beachstick in Moonbeach, Las Salinas and Formentera on her cheeks, and cheekbones for a pretty, youthful glow.

10.Charlotte completed the look by mixing her Matte Revolution lipstick in Love Liberty (a berry matte pink) with The Queen (a rich, crown-jewel pink) to create a custom blend colour for Clooney.

11.And finally, she applied a light dusting of the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in shade 2, to perfect the skin, brighten the complexion and prevent excess shine.

The hair
