Gillian Anderson and Lily James are starring together on the West End stage this month and excitement is bubbling over.

The pair are appearing in Ivo Van Hove’s adaptation of the 1950s Hollywood classic All About Eve.

What is the All About Eve plot?

The story follows legend of the stage Margo Channing (Anderson), who meets her number one fan, Eve (James). As the ambitious and beautiful new face infiltrates Margo’s life, jealousy and competition bubble up, showing the darker side of showbiz.

When does All About Eve open in the West End?

The show opens on February 12 and runs until May 11 at the Noel Coward Theatre.

Who else is in the All About Eve cast?

Joining Anderson and James are Monica Dolan, Ian Drysdale, Tsion Habte, Jessie Mei Li, Julian Ovenden, Sheila Reid, Rhashan Stone, Stanley Townsend and Philip Voyzey.

There is also original music by PJ Harvey, set and lighting from Jan Versweyveld, costume design from An D’Huys and sound design from Tom Gibbons.

Tickets are also available from the All About Eve website, over the phone (0844 482 5151) and straight from the theatre box office on St Martin's Lane. Opening hours are from 10am to 7:30pm. Best get there early to avoid disappointment.

What to do if you don’t get tickets

The Noel Coward Theatre is on St Martin's Lane in Covent Garden. The closest station is Leicester Square, a two minute walk away, but Covent Garden and Charing Cross are also close by.
