Euphoria season two kicked off last night, and wow was it intense. As well as Zendaya, who plays Rue, issuing a trigger warning to fans before watching the show, there was one particularly dramatic scene for Maddy, Nate and Cassie that fans can't stop talking about.

Hooray! Season two is here! Euphoria viewers finally caught up with the likes of Jules (Hunter Schafer), Kat (Barbie Ferreria) and Lexi (Maude Apatow), almost two years after the season one finale.

Season two's first episode sees Fez (Angus Cloud) take centre stage, as we learn about his upbringing and back story, and how he was raised by his grandma. We join him alongside an out-of-it Rue, as they head to a New Year's Eve party.

Once there, the rest of the crew emerge, and the ultimate triangle unfolds: Maddy (Alexa Demie), desperate for a pee, is knocking on the bathroom door, where ex-boyfriend Nate (Jacob Elordi) and best friend Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) are having sex. Eek.

Fans can't stop talking about the extremely intense scene, which many of them felt unprepared for.

"THIS WHOLE CASSIE/NATE AND MADDY THING IS MESSY AF," one person wrote, while another put, "Cassie & Nate… Maddy outside the door? Girl wtf. #Euphoria #EuphoriaHBO" and "When Maddy was knocking on the door with Nate and Cassie, my anxiety SPIKED."

As the scene unfolded, Nate stormed out of the bathroom leaving Cassie hiding behind the shower curtain, as Maddy did her business and seemingly didn't notice Cassie in the tub. But this is just the beginning, right?
